TRANSWORKS REBIULT EXCHANGE TRANSAXLES FOR AIR COOLED STOCK VW APPLICATIONS CARRY A WARRANTY OF 12 MONTHS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE WITH UNLIMITED MILEAGE, PROVIDED IT IS INSTALLED IN A FACTORY STOCK APPLICATION.

 

PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOUR PROBLEM REALLY IS YOUR TRANSMISSION, AND NOT A STRIPPED DRUM, BROKEN CV JOINT, MOUNT, SHIFT LINKAGE PROBLEM, CLUTCH PROBLEM, ETC. TRANSWORKS WILL PAY FOR ROUND TRIP SHIPPING ON A WARRANTY PROBLEM. HOWEVER, IF NO PROBLEM IS FOUND IN THE TRANSMISSION, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SHIPPING CHARGES AND POSSIBLY FOR LABOR AND GASKETS. IF YOU HAVE AN OIL LEAK YOU ARE ENTITLED TO HAVE IT REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT IF YOU IGNORE A MAJOR OIL LEAK AND CONTINUE DRIVING UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION IS OUT OF OIL, YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO A NEW TRANSMISSION. TRANSMISSIONS MUST BE RETURNED TO TRANSWORKS FOR WARRANTY EVALUATION AND REPAIR. IN SOME CASES WE WILL AUTHORIZE AND PAY FOR MINOR EXTERNAL REPAIRS TO BE PERFORMED BY YOUR MECHANIC, BUT APPROVAL BY TRANSWORKS MUST BE OBTAINED PRIOR TO ANY WORK BEING DONE.

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ABUSE. THIS IS NORMALLY DEFINED AS GEAR, SHAFT, OR CASE BREAKAGE CAUSED BY EXCESSIVE HORSEPOWER, DRAG RACING OR OTHER TYPES OF ABUSIVE DRIVING, FAILURE TO FILL THE TRANSMISSION WITH OIL BEFORE RUNNING, OFF ROAD APPLICATION WITH A STOCK TRANSAXLE, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF ABUSE. IN OTHER WORDS, WE STAND BEHIND OUR MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP 100%, BUT IF YOU USE ONE OF OUR UNITS FOR UNINTENDED PURPOSES YOU ASSUME THE RISK. THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS RECEIVES THE BENEFIT OF ANY DOUBT AND WE ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO DISASSEMBLE AND INSPECT A UNIT. IF THERE IS ANY POSSIBILITY THAT FAILURE COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY A FAULT ON OUR PART, THE WARRANTY WILL BE HONORED.

OFF ROAD AND HIGH PERFORMANCE WARRANTY

OFF ROAD AND HIGH PERFORMANCE TRANSAXLES CARRY WARRANTY OF 12 MONTHS FROM THE PURCHASE DATE. THE WARRANTY COVERS DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP. IT DOES NOT COVER GEAR, SHAFT, OR CASE BREAKAGE CAUSED BY ABUSE. TRANSWORKS DEFINES ABUSE USING TWO BASIC CONCEPTS. ONE WOULD BE THAT YOU DID NOT PURCHASE A TRANSAXLE ADEQUATELY MODIFIED FOR YOUR APPLICATION. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO RUN A 4.37 RING & PINION AGAINST A V-8 ENGINE, FOR EXAMPLE, YOU WILL CONSTANTLY BE BREAKING RING GEARS. IF THE TRANSAXLE YOU NEED DOES NOT FIT YOUR BUDGET AT THE MOMENT, YOU HAVE TO ADJUST YOUR DRIVING HABITS TO MAKE THE ONE YOU CAN AFFORD LAST. THE OTHER COMMON TYPE OF ABUSE HAS TO DO WITH PERSONAL DRIVING HABITS.
